Visitors are welcomed by lo-fi rain sounds evoke Arran’s unique microclimate, immediately engaging the senses. The journey flows seamlessly into The Water Journey, a dome-like installation where immersive projections and layered soundscapes trace the transformation of water through the water distilling process.
Visitors are led to The Heart Chamber which invites visitors to listen through stethoscopes when they get close to soundscape points on distillery machine, revealing the intimate sounds of fermentation and distillation. Here, a low-frequency heartbeat soundscape creates a calming, multisensory environment, allowing guests to connect physically and emotionally with Arran’s whisky tradition.
Visitors can engage with tactile elements and trigger stories or archival footage by interacting with the environment, deepening their connection to Arran’s people and landscape. This zone transforms cultural heritage into a multi-sensory narrative, making history accessible and memorable for all generations.
The Tasting Pods offer a personalised whisky experience, where each pod is equipped with TouchDesigner-driven soundscapes and subtle lighting that respond to visitor choices. By pairing specific audio environments with Arran’s signature drams, the pods reveal how sound can enhance and alter flavour perception.

Encased in acoustically isolated, cask-inspired structures, guests are invited to explore the interplay of taste, aroma, and sound in an intimate setting. This innovative approach turns whisky tasting into an interactive, sensory journey that celebrates both tradition and experimentation.
